Why CCMA accreditation makes OMS great!
Did you know the Montessori name is in the public domain? The term Montessori can be used by all and not all schools provide an authentic Montessori education that firmly adheres to Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy and standards of practice.
OMS Montessori is proud to be accredited by the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators (CCMA). CCMA promotes standards of excellence in Montessori education through accreditation, support, and service, and provides a unified voice for all accredited members across Canada.
CCMA accreditation can mean many things. The primary objective of accreditation is to make good schools even better. Accreditation helps to establish and maintain consistency of standards, preserving the Montessori philosophy and spirit of Montessori education to ensure high-quality, authentic Montessori for each student. Accreditation ensures that schools are accountable to each other, parents and the community.
As a CCMA school we are supported through the accreditation process that helps guide our school, staff, children, and parents in an optimal manner. We benefit from the expertise of the collaborative professional Montessori community to help deliver excellent Montessori education.
OMS benefits from access to a community of Montessori schools across Canada, access to professional support, and ongoing professional development for administrators and staff. Accreditation is renewed every four years, and OMS Montessori continues to be an accredited school in good standing for decades!
By sending your child/children to our schools you can ensure they receive a quality Montessori education that meets nationwide standards. Learn more about what our accreditation means by visiting www.ccma.ca
