Parent Education Night: Demonstration Of Materials Evening

Saturday, May 28, 2016: 50th Anniversary Gala

OMS Montessori is in its 50th year of service. We will be celebrating all year, but will also host a formal 50th Gala on Saturday, May 28th at Centurion Centre.

This Gala will include a formal three course meal, live entertainment and a DJ. We are thrilled to announce that alumni student Jonathan Estabrooks will be performing for us. Ottawa native and OMS Montessori alumni, Jonathan Estabrooks, who currently resides in New York City, continues to make waves with theatre and opera companies around the world including Vancouver and Seattle Symphonies and most recently stepping in last minute as Bum Phillips in a Texas opera premiere. Traveling to the famed Westlake Studio, he released his debut album with legendary producer Dave Reitzas (Groban, Streisand). Fusing elements of classical, pop and classic musical theatre, Jonathan’s performance is guaranteed to be compelling and energetic.

Tuesday, May 12, 2015: Dr. Steven Hughes at OMS Montessori

Renowned speaker and pediatric neuropsychologist Dr. Steven Hughes will present “Building Better Brains: How School and Home Life Can Build Higher-Order Cognitive Ability in Children (but generally don’t!)” at OMS Montessori in May. Steven J. Hughes, PhD, ABPdN is a pediatric neuropsychologist and director of The Center for Research on Developmental Education, based in St. Paul, Minnesota. He speaks about education and brain development at conferences, universities, schools, and training centers all over the world.
