Our Montessori Teachers have internationally recognized certification (Association Montessori Interntionale) and our Second Language and Physical Education Specialists are certified in their particular fields. Head Director

OMS Montessori is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head Director to lead the school into its next stage of excellence. We are a not-for-profit, CCMA-accredited school in our 50th year of operation. We have both an Anglophone and Francophone program serving approximately 300 students, from 18 months to grade 9, and plan to offer grades 10 to 12 in the next two years. We have two exceptional campuses in Ottawa; one in the heart of a residential neighbourhood, the other located in the exciting new development at Lansdowne Park. The school has an engaged Board of Directors with representation from the business and academic communities, and as well as from parents and staff.

OMS is dedicated to engaging each student’s passion for learning through the internationally acclaimed Montessori philosophy, curriculum and materials. This is achieved through the dedication of our long-standing staff’s commitment to Montessori principles and practices.

Casa Director/ress

OMS Montessori, a private non-profit school, located in a residential area in Ottawa, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Montessori guide for a Casa class beginning September 2016. The guide’s hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class has three assistants. There are four Casa classes in our close community of approximately 300 students from Toddler to High School. We have over 50 dedicated staff who are strongly committed to working together, guided by Montessori pedagogy.

The ideal candidate will have Montessori Casa (Primary) certification, experience working with children 2 ½ – 6 years of age, excellent communication skills and the desire and ability to work as part of a team.

Class Substitutes

Position Available: Occasional daytime work
Hours of Work: Shifts between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Job Description: We are looking for individuals to work with children from ages 18 months to 12 years. Occasional daytime work, Monday to Friday. Experience with young children preferred, bilingualism would be an asset. Police record check required.
Salary: $14.47 per hour.
